The Caddo Parish Coroner’s office identified the teen Friday morning as 13-year-old Kendall Williams of El Dorado, Arkansas.
Police say it happened just after 5 p.m. Thursday when Williams reportedly went underwater and did not come back up. He was pulled from the water and CPR was performed, but he did not respond. He was taken to Willis Knighton South, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
An autopsy has been ordered at Ochsner LSU Health hospital.
