MANDEVILLE, La. (WGNO) — Two children, who were abducted in South Louisiana, have been located safely.

Louisiana State Police say that the 9-year-old and 2-month-old were located in Crystal Springs, MS and the suspect has been taken into custody.

LSP issued an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Mandeville Police Department for the 2-month-old and 9-year-old after they had been abducted Monday. The children had last been seen in Mandeville, where they were abducted around 4:00 p.m. by Sergio “David” Hernandez.

Sergio “David” Hernandez, who is now in custody, was wanted for questioning for a domestic violence incident, which occurred at the time of the abduction.

Hernandez was believed to be armed and dangerous and authorities had advised that people use extreme caution if they saw him.
