(KTAL/KMSS) – Amazon is allowing customers without Prime accounts to take advantage of their food and produce deals.
Amazon works to remain innovative through its online and grocery retail reach. This expansion comes ahead of the holiday season.
With Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market’s lower-priced in-store offerings and now catering to the convenience of U.S. shoppers they hope this will help spark the interest of new shoppers.
“This is a big change because previously customers had to have a Prime membership in order to access grocery delivery from either Amazon Fresh or from Whole Foods Market,” said Meredith Bunche, Director of Worldwide Grocery Stores at Amazon.
Bunche says Amazon will also enable Whole Foods to deliver to customers without a Prime membership.
According to a survey conducted by Amazon they found in 2023, 92 percent of shoppers in the U.S. expressed they also shop in a physical store, and 87 percent plan to transition into shopping online more than they do.
Whole Foods customers in Shreveport-Bossier can order online or pick up their pre-ordered groceries in-store.
“Local customers can shop in-store at Whole Foods which will have deals across all aisles to help customers save this holiday season,”
Amazon prides itself on making customer’s lives easier, they hope this helps families with their Thanksgiving and holiday needs.
