Sports reporter Sam Rothman joined the KTAL team as a reporter in April 2021.
Before coming to Shreveport, she attended Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications (Go Orange!). Her favorite memories include covering Syracuse Athletics, interning with MSG Networks, and working for NBC Sports during the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
She owes her sports passion to her dad, who dished out sports trivia questions every morning before she left for school. Sam’s favorite sport to cover is hockey as she grew up a die-hard New York Rangers fan. She is also a proud, yet suffering, Jets, Mets, and Knicks fan.
A New York native, Sam is ready to trade in pizza and bagels for crawfish and sweet tea. In her free time, she loves to travel, hang out with friends and family, and spend way too much time on TikTok.
