Mya Nicholson joined the KTAL NBC 6 & KMSS FOX 33 News team in July 2023.
Mya was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas where she graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in August 2023. She majored in broadcast journalism and minored in social sciences.
While attending school Mya was a part of the university’s student run TV and radio news organizations. She was also a member of the campus National Association of Black Journalists chapter. Through this organization she was chosen to be a part of the 2023 NABJ student multimedia projects.
During Mya’s free time she enjoys creating crafts, being active, watching films, singing and listening to music, and eating yummy food.
