
John Sartori joined the KTAL Sports team in November 2020.
A native of Mandeville, Louisiana, John is a proud graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University who spent four years working at the school’s television station, The Southeastern Channel.
While in Hammond, he worked as an anchor and reporter for the station’s weekly sports program, The Big Game, and also served as the host for the station’s bi-weekly Lion Tracks coaches’ talk show.
While in school, Sartori won multiple awards including two student Emmy awards for his on-camera work. He also won a 2019 Collegiate Associated Press Award for best sports story.
Sartori has done an extensive amount of play-by-play work for multiple teams and networks. He has called football, baseball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball on the likes of ESPN+, Southland Conference Digital Network, and Varsity Sports Now. Sartori also served as the voice of Southeastern Lady Lion basketball during the 2017-18 season and spent the summer of 2019 as the first voice of Fremont Moo baseball, a collegiate summer ball team located in Fremont, Nebraska.
When John is not at work, he enjoys watching sports and hanging out with his friends and family. He’s excited to be apart of the KTAL Team and looking forward to covering sports in the ArkLaTex.
