Isabella Cheng joined KTAL NBC 6 News in May 2023.
She was born and raised in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, where she found her passion for writing in 2016.
Isabella graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Arts, double-majoring in creative writing and journalism. Her focus is seeking diverse voices fighting the climate crisis and bringing the community together.
When she is not reporting, she is with her baby, Yoshi – a Labra Heeler (an Australian Cattle Dog / Black Labrador mix) she rescued from the local no-kill dog shelter in Shreveport, Louisiana.
