Dan Jovic

Dan Jovic a multiple time Emmy award-winning journalist who serves as a co-anchor of the 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 p.m. newscast with his wife, Jacque Jovic.

During his time in Shreveport he’s reported on countless stories impacting the city and state. From the horrific slayings of three Baton Rouge law enforcement officers, to the experiences of a federal whistleblower from Shreveport who led to institutional change, Dan has shared the facts and emotions of the events.

He’s told the stories of heroic COVID survivors, a medical miracle that gained attention from around the world and been a watchdog on how your tax dollars are spent on area roads and bridges.

Dan graduated from the University of Akron in Ohio with a degree in mass media / electronic communications.

Prior to joining the NBC 6 News team, Dan served as the technology and new media reporter for WJW-TV in Cleveland.

Over his 23 years in broadcasting Dan has worked in both news and sports, writing, editing, producing, and reporting on the stories concerning viewers.

Youth sports are a passion of Dan’s. He’s served a basketball coach for several years, and most recently took on the volunteer role of basketball coach for his son’s middle school team.

Spending time with his family, enjoying a great steak and teeing it up for a sunny round of golf are how he enjoys his free time.

Dan and Jacque are the proud parents of two children.
